CityFun: The beginning of the story
The CityFun story began during quarantine. Despair, fear, anxiety. AND WHAT‘S NEXT? WHAT TO DO NEXT? WHAT TO DO?
These questions were constantly on my mind.
To not go crazy, I put on whatever sneakers I had and started running as far as my eyes could see. After the first 5 kilometers, I felt tired, my legs were barely moving, and I still had to somehow get back home (it's funny to think now that 5 kilometers can cause such exhaustion :D). But what an emotional relief I felt. For a while at least, the voice of anxiety in my head was silent.
Tomorrow and the day after I also ran. While I was running a longer distance, I sank into a meditation, a trance. The thoughts were different, and slowly the calmness overcame the anxiety.
And then, out of the blue, I received a call:
- Hello.
- Hello. - I answered in surprise.
- Do you do games?
I got annoyed. I'm thinking, did you just fall out of the moon?! What games, we are closed !!!!
- No, we're closed.
- But maybe you could come up with a city game? So the kids could play in the city instead of indoors?
- Ma'am, it's cold now, your children will freeze. And no, we don't do outdoor games.
The conversation was over. I put down the phone. And then I had an enlightenment. At last, that light bulb came on with the answer to the question " WHAT‘S NEXT?"
City exploration games! We need to do city exploration games! No one will shut us down, no one will close us, no one will limit us. LET'S DO IT!
Then I had the idea that I had to run a marathon. I decided for myself that if I do the whole distance - CityFun will get done. I didn't run the marathon to only complete 42 km. It was a guarantee of success. If I complete it, I'll do it, if I don't, CityFun goes in the drawer.
Only the sky and I know how hard it was for me to run that distance. But I did it. The guarantee was in my hands 😊
From that moment began my long journey to my goal, to the fulfillment of my dream, to the creation of CityFun.
A journey that transformed my life.
